Why Worry?

Who, am I?

 What am I? Why am I here?

Am I an alien or just a simple fool? Many questions arise when I ask about myself. I went on to search for those basic questions of my life.

When I ask the agriculturist and horticulturist, they say: "You are a well build a structure to do heavy works. You can toil and make good money with the production. You don't need to worry about other things, just enough to make day to day livings".

When I ask the philosophers and thinkers, they say: "You are a thinking being. You exist to know the ultimate reality of life and truth. Doubt yourself and that proves your existence. What makes you are is, and what does not ake you is- is not"

When I ask the actors and celebrities, they say: "You are a handsome young man. You are capable of having a lot of admirers and fans. You can make name for yourself and then enjoy all the latest luxuries and expensive things. When I ask the scientists and researchers, they say: "You are a rational animal. You came into being with the evolution. You are to know what surrounds you and what compositions make you. Your senses and organs of a person make you a complete human being".

"When I ask the priests and religious, Gurus they say: "You are a child of God. You are made in His image and likeness. You are meant to do great things which He has planned for you". When I ask the politicians and social leaders, they say: "You are a social being. You have the potential for a good social worker to uplift the lower section. You can have the trust of others with your promise and good work. 

At last, when the darkness prevailed, I went back home and I saw my mother weaving. As soon as she saw me, she asked me, "Why do you look so depressed and confused?" I told her that it was because of my search for the answers to my questions and how everything seemed to be illusory, "Why should all those things worry you, my son! You are what you are, my beloved son. What you will be. Live the present, for the future, will hold itself. Be cheerful always". The most consoling and satisfying words of wisdom came from a simple housewife. Peace and tranquillity filled my mind and heart.

Wow! This is life.
